Render final image on 3D object with Photoshop CS4

When everything is done on your 3D scene, the final step would be rendering and exporting out the final image or video.

To do this, here’s what you need to do:

1. Select the 3D layer you want to render.

2. Go to: 3D / Render for Final Output

The Render for Final Output allows you to render out the best anti-alias for your image or video. The render will look better even if you already set your 3D object Anti-Alias at Best. Render for Final Output will set your Present to Ray Traced no matter what you currently have, it will include all the shadows, reflections and refractions.

4. To duplicate the final image, select the 3D layer you just finished using Render for Final Output and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+e to make a duplicate image into a new layer.

5. You can now save it out as .JPG or .Gif by Alt+Shite+Crt+s

6. If you want to render the final output as a video file. Select your 3D layer and click on File / Export / Render Video

Keep in mind, this take a very long time. If Photoshop takes 30 minutes to just render a single final image, it will take much longer to render out all the image sequences that make up the video.
